Put V8 in engine bay.
Twin Turbo V8.

Not many motors with original bottom ends can do that at 350k miles. Both had have valve seals replaced but thats about it.
It you take care of a M103 it will take care of you.
What does happen is that cyl 6 does not get enough cooling and oil and it will suffer worn piston rings first and you can see head issues in 5 and 6 but that just means compression will be a bit lower in those cylinders.
If you know how it works you can do some amazing things with it under boost.
Ask the man who owns one, and a very, very fast one at that



Given the fair number of M104's, not sure why price is so high.
