European manufacturer status

One thing to consider: Since AMG merged with Mercedes, there are only three european tuners that have manufacturer status. Out of the three, Brabus is the only Mercedes tuner that has this status. Hence, although the einsmann may sound beautiful, the brabus exhaust is clearly the better one in terms of technical and manufactuering development. It also means that Brabus will probably be around longer as well. So, there is a less likely chance that you will have problem finding replacement parts. Again, this is something to thing about!

I believe Brabus at one time or another bought their product from Eisenmann and put their name on it. In fact Eisenmann has produced original equipment and performance exhausts for the likes of Porsche Gmbh and AMG as well.

Not sure about how long Eisenmann has been in business but its been around for a good while. And with clients above and many more I dont see them going out of business anytime soon.

"In Germany, when an aftermarket company meets certain technical requirements, it can apply to be certified by the German Transport Authority or Kraftfabrt Bundesamt (KBA). Manufacturer status gives the firm the right to build new bespoke cars from bare shells and apply its own engine and chassis numbers. Only two other aftermarket firms in Germany have manufacturer status-Alpina, who make bespoke BMW's and RUf, hand bulider of famouly fast Porsche based cars." This is the direct qoute from Mercedes Enthusiast Magazine, Oct 06'.

Addtionally, this article further mentions regarding Brabus: Because Brabus has the coveted manufacturer status, its now in a stratosphere by itself when compared to Carlsson, Kleemann, and yes company's that they failed to mention such as Eisnmann! Again, something to think about this time from an authoritative source!

Einsmann full race is pretty loud.
and remus is quietier, so if you want something quiet, then go brabus, assuming what SL_BRABUS said is true

Eisenmann is the OEM manufacturer for Porsche and SLR. That speaks a lot about their quality.

Brabus sources exhausts from Remus. Eisenmann >>>> Remus.

How loud are the eisenmanns? Are they loud even when you're idling?

When you say loud are you saying as loud as a cobra with a straight back exaust? Could someone please put some perspective to the "loudness" of the Eisenmanns?

I'd like to buy one but I don't want to buy a muffler which I will replace because it's rediculously loud.

It has a similiar tone to a straight-piped cobra. It's not as loud as a cobra, but it is significantly louder than stock and may annoy you while daily driving. It really depends on the person and their tolerance.

I loved mine but had to get rid of it because it was just too loud for every day driving and my whole neighbourhood was getting mad at me for the exhaust.
