B&M transmission/shifter upgrades for Mercedes

A friend of mine who works for B&M Racing mentioned to me that they are considering developing products for our cars. For those of you unfamiliar with B&M, they are an industry leader in transmission and shifter upgrades for sport and racing applications. I told him that there were indeed many Mercedes owners looking for reasonably priced, effective performance upgrades for their cars. I'm posting this as a feeler, to see if I can demonstrate the level of interest that exists. Who among you would consider purchasing these upgrades? I know I'll be first in line if B&M releases anything for my E500, but even owners of less performance-oriented models could benefit from potential B&M products. Please speak up with your opinions.

I would be veeeerrrrry interested in the ability to modify the stock shift point ranges in my transmission. The tranny already will auto adjust for quicker/higher rev shifts when driven aggressively (like a few standing starts at the local drag-strip).

However, I would love to have the capability to bump the shift points even higher, and make the shifts more positive. That way I could maximize the turbo powercurve even further. I'd bet with that capability I could get down into the mid to low 13's!

Sweeeeeeet!!!!!!!!!!

If they are looking for alpha/beta testers, send them my way!

Question

Hey Daez_Nutz,

Any word on this yet, or is it just talk??? I am doing a major engine rebuild/upgrade & have the tranny out of the car right now. It would be pretty easy to mess with it since it's out, so let me know.
