M103 Engine Tuning

Anyone know what I can do to the M103 engine to boost output?

What modifications are there?

M103 Tuning

I have a W211 E500 M103 V8. I have looked into tuning my engine for a while now. I have narrowed it down to the best performance gains without dropping 8k + on a kleeman supercharger.


1. Power Chip Group ECU chip- $840 Big hp + torque boost

2. Remus Mufflers- $600 (8-15hp gain) - Remus is the company that makes exaust for Brabus, but its almost half the price.

3. Sprint Booster- $350- no hp gain, but feels like it does.

All three of these together will unleash the M103 V8

Uh.... something is wrong if you have a W211 E500 with a 103 V8... the 103 is an 80s-90s I6.

As for the power gains on the chip, muffler and booster. Since some companies mentioned the gain - they must have had some way to measure it. Ask them for the before and after dyno sheets. I pretty much bet that they can't provide anything to back up their HP - power claim. If by some chance they do... see where the pwoer comes on. Some companies have chips that merely move the power curve up at the expense of low RPM torque which is a complete waste on a street engine unless you want to do 4000 rpm starts.
