simple question
The ECU tuning from Renntech--can it be done at the dealership while u wait ? This would be a 2012 C63 coupe.

Yes, if your dealership is authorized Renntech dealer.

 

Called Sarasota MB dealer and RENNTECH dealer. Told me they have to send the ECU to Renntech and will take 3/4/ days.

 

The MB dealer in Sugarland, TX said the same 3 to 5 working days but would give me a loaner if I did it. Still deciding...

 

For Sarasota, it would be quicker to drive over in the morning, have the download done and drive back the same day!

Right, they have to remove, ship and then reinstall.

But if you bring the car to Renntech yourself, it is a 2-2.5 hour drive each way. Very easy drive.

I can't imagine it takes more than an hour (many downloads are done in 10-15 minutes). So if you spend 5 hours on the road and 1 hour at Renntech, it is a 1 day affair (and you get to look at all the neat cars they are working on while you are there.....).

If you live in FL. , the drive home from Renntech will be differently quicker.

 

Dropped the car yesterday morning at my MB dealer (Illinois),got a loaner (new GLK),will pick the car up on Friday with modded ECU (G63).
They overnight the unit on both ends.
