Brad on Super2NR TV@EurotunerGP

Hey Brad,

Caught you on the newly "eurocentric" Super2NR TV this morning. Nice Job. Mind telling us about the E46 Project Car? Also, did you bring any MB's to the Eurotuner GP, I'm guessing no?

Just out of curiosity, what's your personal best on the big track, and in what car? (E36 LTW?)

Thanks

Larry,

Thanks! That show was fun. It was for the EuroTuner Magazine Tuner GP. We took an e46 M3 with these mods:

StageI+ Performance Package
- evosport Intake
- evosport/Powerchips ECU Tune
- Supersprint Headers
- Supersprint Race Pipe
- Supersprint Mid Pipe
- Eisenmann Race Muffler
evosport/H&R RSS Coil-Overs
Ground Control Camber Plates, Shouck mounts, bushings, etc.
Brembo Brakes
evosport RG8 Wheels
MA Shaw Carbon Splitter
MA Shaw Carbon Hood
MA Shaw CArbon Decklid
ACS Race wing
Sparco Milano seats
evosport "CSL" rear seat package (removal of seats and installation of a parcel shelf - saves ~80lbs)
AutoSolutions Short Shifter

Car did 1:30 second laps and we got 308 to the wheels. We were by far teh fastest car there (even faster then a 600 HP Porsche Turbo).

Next mods:

Cams
Re-Tune
Lightweight Flywheel
SuperCharger

Here are two pics:

My best time @ Willow is 1:26 in a Ferrari 360 Challenge car. We were going about 8/10ths with 2 people in the car.

Thanks

Brad

Fantastic time!(and even more fantastic driving)...so I take it, you took some time to sort out the suspension? Got any numbers on the cumulative weight reduction effort on the car (hood, wheels, brakes, exhaust, interior? I've never realized the E46 platform to be so capable. And finally, was the rear wing's effect significant?

Currently, is this evosport's fastest project car on the big track? Or does that distinction belong to Ben's or Vadim's car?

What other cars to came in under 1:35?

Thanks for the response.

Larry,

The car was actually driven by a friend of mine - pro racer - Cort Wagner. He is about 1.5 seconds faster then me and we utilized his help to set the car up. We did a lot of suspension tweaking.

Car is about 3100 now.

Rear wing helped a little, owner did nto want a big obtrusive wing though.

That is MUCH faster then any of the MB's.

NO other cars came in under 1:35. Funny as we ran the CLK and the C32 at EuroTunerFest to faster times then ANY of the other cars at this GP.

Thanks

Brad

Wow...So Cort's only about a second (two at worst?) slower in the M3 compared to his runs in the Techart Turbo? That's quite an achievement...man, did I pick the wrong car (and I mean that in only the best way)

I think he was faster in this car then the TechArt car.

Also the track was SLOW the test day - 110degrees and very windy!

We ran our fast lap the SECOND lap of the day in warm up. We kept improving the car and stayed the same time. The track got slow real quick, each session.

We were guessing 1:29 flat on a good day.

Thanks

Brad,
Nice numbers and the car looks awesome! Do you know if there will be another run on TV? I'd love to see what I missed, I should have joined you guys.
