Akebono......I had EBC Red on my E-class and tore up my rotors within months. It causes hot spots so when you brake, the rotor is worn uneven

EBC red
I can't speak to akebono but I can say that EBC reds have been awesome for me. I did go with new rotors and they stop great, dust insignificantly, and have not worn my rotors unevenly, and in fact they look like new after 8k miles.

EBC stopped slightly better and dusted WAY less.
granted, this wasnt on an MB, but the compound used for the pad is the same in that lineup, regardless of car model.

Pads should not cause uneven wear usually. The main cause of warped rotors is uneven torque applied to the lug nuts. Do you use a calibrated torque wrench and torque each to factory spec in the star pattern?
