forced induction for N/A 550?
Hi all,
I have been trying to weigh in my options between spending money on fun stuff for current ride, or try to get something faster to begin wiht.
I know many would say just get a faster car, but for me its the process of the upgrade and work that i find enjoying.
so here i am trying to figure out; if there is a forced induction kit anywhere out there available for a N/A 550 engine. if such a thing exists i would love to look in to it instead of getting a 600 or 63...
all major companies ive looked at dont have anything other than an ecu tune. and i dont know if thats because its imposible or because there is a low demand in the market.
if anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.

I think it's the cost and "one of" type deal more then anything else. You better of getting a different car. After doing all the mods and spending the money, you could have a different faster vehicle....my two cents.

I totally understand the love of the "build process". But with the AMG line of vehicles, there just really isn't much of a market for aftermarket forced induction. I would get an S55 or S63 and start from there. You'll have many more options for aftermarket add-ons in the form of pulley kits, intercoolers and intake kits.

I was looking in to S63 or S600, but i can not find one close to me with options i want and in my price range.
I was thinking of getting a Vortech supercharger and retrofitting it. the problem is getting the ECU custom tuned. dont know how much that would cost and who can do it in chicago. i would think i need a dyno.

already have eurocharged, doing cat-back at speedriven soon.
The problem with Rentech headers is that they are only shorties that dont add that much. and for that price i can get a nice vortech supercharger along with some fab work done.
