Trasmission/Rear End ECU Question/CLK55
Does anyone know if you disconnect the transmission module for a 2001 CLK55 if the car will still run correctly?
The point I am getting at is I am considering moving to a 6 speed, like the one used in the Supra and BMW.
I am only guessing that the traction control will not work and I will have to figure out how to use the speedo and wire up the reverse light. I would also have to figure out how to unlock the ignition cylinder.
I have a couple of tuners that can make the bellhousing, flywheel, clutch assembly, mounts, pedals, etc work.
I am worried about the electronics.
I know RennTech has done this and I believe MKB did the electronics, but I can not get in touch with them.
