1985 mercedes 300d
1985 300d very slow, and turbo not functioning
I just got donated my dads 1985 300d. it runs ok, but it accelerates super slow. maybe 15 seconds to 40. after it hits 40mph it drives perfect. also to get it moving, my foot is 100% on the gas to the floor with this slow acceleration. is it this slow because of the turbo not working or possibly a blown piston? thanks!

Could be so many different things usually its something simple.
When those were new they were pooches;good thing is they ran forever seemed like
