INPUT wanted on new project.
You guys have seen a few of my projects I hope before I was banned from posting pics (I'm not sure on this one, but I know I can't post pics any more).
Anyway, I am on the initial stages of working up a new project for a customer. The cool thing here is we have a clean canvas to work from.
The ONLY thing that is certain is the engine. We are going to purchase a new v-12 twin turbo and make it killer with huge turbos and stand alone fuel system.....
The question is...What car do we put it in?
What we were thinking is a Dodge viper for the obvious ties to the Daimler-Chrysler. And, how would this sound?
"What happens when you install a Mercedes engine in the Viper? The viper goes FASTER!!!!"
Any comments welcome!

Exciting project
For the 'sleeper' factor: Install in a W209 CLK
For the 'jaw-dropping' factor: Install in a R230 SL
For the 'cool-as-hell' factor: Install in a W215 CL
FWIW, they disabled most uploaded photos....just link to your pix.
See you at the track?

Obviously not a "budget" project
The Viper would be very cool as I have never been a fan of the V10 sound. A TT V12 Viper would rock and may get the factories attention.
BTW, doesn't the factory TT use integrated exhaust manifolds/turbine housings? If so are you planning turbo headers with larger turbos or just larger compressors with maybe clipped turbines?

We will probably have to fabricate the exhaust to fit it in the Viper, then we could use any set of turbos we want! Most likely they will be stainless tube header design.
Thanks for all of the input. Keep the ideas coming. I am still kinda thinking Viper, but if any good ideas come about, I will entertain them as well.

DONNIE!!!
Please keep it of Mercedes Benz heritage. You pride your self as a top Benz tuner and have a long list of incrdeible cars you have modified. I think any deviation from the Benz lineage would be a mistake. Ponder this thought...arent there enough fast Vipers?

.............I think the viper is not a good idea. People already expect the viper to be seriously fast and as a result the fact that your V12 twin turbo viper will be very very fast will not generate too much excitement. Tuners already can make the viper do 0-60 in 3.2 secs and quatermile in under 10 secs. So your car will just be like one of those. Your C55 stood out because no one would expect that car to be remotely that fast. If you want to suff a twin v12 twin turbo into something, you may wish to consider something like a 210 E-class wagon.

That is of course, assuming that I get to take home the final project. How 'bout it? Hmmnnn... I figured as much. Well, then I think that I have a most excellent idea! I think that nothing would be cooler than sticking that beast in some sort of mid-engined car. How about a CAV GT? www.cavgt.com It's an exceptionally well made GT40 replica. Beautiful car. Factory 5 Racing Daytona Cobra Coupe? WAIT!!!! I've got it!!! What about the Ultima GT?!? Noble M12? If you have enough capital, how about that Stealth B6? That would be the most amazing car in the freaking world!! What do you think?
Best regards,
Matt

Point taken.
Ted, you know very well I value your opinion. You have allowed be to experiment with some of your machines and all have come out very well.
The car we build needs to be within reach price wise. I will get the engine and what ever transmission we need to fit it.
We plan on using stand alone fuel and ignition systems and custom turbos and injectors so we can dictate how much power it makes.
Everyone, THANKS for the input....
I just haven't had a car bite me yet and say "please stick a v-12 in here".....

Audi C7.5 S6
vehicle for the new V12 motor
It seems a 1991 300SEL would be a good candidate for this motor. Just do it, so it sort of looks stock externally.
Did you see the Autoweek article on Jay Leno's 1955 Buick Roadmaster with 572" 620HP chevy motor and Corvette suspension? March 1 2004.
