I want to lift my suspension 0.5-1 inch. Any recommendations on spacers? Also, any warnings against it. Thanks!

there are spacers you can get on Ebay. I have not pulled the trigger and bought yet. Also, the McPherson strut spring perch prohibits running anything taller that the stock diameter. A 235/65/17 will fit. Not anything taller though.
I know what you mean about wanting a lift for snow. I bought my GLK350 because it was the cheapest thing around compared to any subaru or toyota or a truck. Fortunately these cars plunged in value so you can pick one up for a song. I bought mine to thrash and I'll leave the subaru in the garage to maintain value.
