Attempting true dual exhaust on cab
So i've got some plans for my W208 CLK 55 cab.. i've got headers sitting in the closet, which will be installed while exhaust is done as well.
Here's my current dilemma:
I snagged this pic when I was getting my wheels and tires balanced (not sure why they needed a whole body lift).. As you can see, the right side has virtually no room for any kind of pipes to be ran, due to the battery and spare tire well. This is my current plan (apologies for my terrible mspaint skills):
Basically, I am removing both secondary catalytic converters along with resonator, replacing them with x-pipe, cutting tips off of factory muffler, and running each tip to it's own respective x-pipe outlet with it's own magnaflow muffler (two mufflers in total)
As far as I know, this way that i'm planning will yield the best possible performance for a dual exhaust, yes, I know only one side is actually connected to the exhaust, however having each tip on the left side connected to it's own outlet on the x-pipe, it's virtually the same as running one outlet on each side of the car. Of course I don't really like the idea of having false tips, but the look is killer in my opinion and I don't see any other way without modifying the frame (which is what I am trying to stay away from).
Magnaflow parts are:
x-pipe: 10791
muffler (2x): 14196.
Any suggestions? Thanks guys.
