Will Mercedes ZF ever get xHP ?
Let down by a slushy slow and high reving upchange limiter that overrides your request to upchange near WOT .
Stock W204 C250 CDI peak power is around 4200 but the upchange is 4600/4700 , why ?
Should only be reserved for 7th gear .
It's wasting time and fuel hanging around in outerspace especially now as peak power is 3500rpm. Other diesel models 220 CDI etc change at 2200 .
To upchange earlier near WOT is foot off the gas and pull the flappy , it's slow to upchange as it has a think about it !
There are obd flash tools available , some reversable , some only dealer level reversable .
For sure they will speed up changes and relax some torque limiters but the rpm changes won't be changed .
BMW ZF and others have the perfect and individual user adjustable xHP .
