Hi all,
i just got my upgraded intake manifold/TB onto my W203, and figured it was time for a tune. I reached out to OETuning and ultimately purchased one of their tunes. OE has been stellar so far in both working to get me the information and tools needed and to help resolve the following issues I'm having, but I thought I would share as someone here may have an answer that doesn't require me bothering Jeremy yet again LOL.

So first, the software from MyGenius downloaded fine, but upon opening would not update and would not register the device. I reached out to Jeremy, he hopped on the phone with me, and emailed over a file that seemed to work great.

Went out to the car and read the ECU, came back in and plugged it in. It still registers, but every time I try to download my stock file I get the message "Unable to complete operation. Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1."



I'm not great with computers, but it sounds to me like that would be an empty file. Yet when I go under the device information, I can see that my stock file must have been uploaded as all of my car's info is there.



Additionally, if I try to update my device/software, it still freezes and ultimately tells me "impossible to connect to the server." I had figured that meant that there were no updates to be installed on either device, but I'm beginning to wonder if it means both the tool and the software need to be updated and cannot communicate data until they do so.

I browsed here and Benz a good deal and it seemed this issue was unique, so sorry if this is a repost. Considering just mailing the whole flash tool back to OE since I can't extract the file, but I don't want to be a pain and the car doubles as my commuter.

Edit: Issue resolved. For anyone with similar issues, it seemed to be some kind of firewall or something of the sort with my wifi. Tried it at two different houses local to me on two laptops and had zero effect. Then took the same laptop to my girlfriend's house out-of-state and everything updated and communicated without issue. I can't explain it, but it works now.
