I am about to close this really good deal on a E-Class AMG Kit. However before I do it, I like to find out if it will fit my 98 E-430. And if I need to buy new fog lights. I believe the kit is was for a 99.

If anyone is a AMG dealer or something, please advice.

The AMG kit for the E Class changed on the update model. These have a build date of July 1999 onwards. If the kit is the pre update kit it should be no problem. It is easy to tell the difference between the two, particularly the sill extensions. Here is a recent post under W210 E Class Pre Update E Class

in europe, the updated w210 came out in 1999. the u.s. version came out in the 2000 model year. the amg kit for the u.s. 2000-2002 is prettier than the u.s. 96-99 (my opinion). the major different is the side sill. in the 2000+ model, the sill has a twist to it, while the 96-99 comes in body color (because the regular e has black sill). the front foglight cutout on the 2000+ is shown in the last post's pic while the foglight on the 96-99 is similar to the 2000+ clk. i am not sure about the rear valance. i don't know how to post pics on this site

adding to my last post ....i bought the amg kit for my 00 wagon and it came with the foglights plus light bulbs. bought it from a german dealer and had it shipped to me through a friend.

How much was it? I am going back to Aust soon, i have my e430 98, it has a kit on it, however wanting the 99/00 amg kit with the small circle lights as foggies.. any ideas if they are avail there?? and how much??
