CLK V8/E55 Airbox
Has anyone seen inside their airbox? There are numerous "ribs" on the inside top cover which appear to be some sort of bracing and a large square lip protruding from the join between the airfilter box to the engine air intake section. It looks like it must cause havoc with the airflow.
I am thinking about using a dremmel to smooth these out and putting a bevel on the lip.
Does anyone know if these ribs are there to intentionally disturb the airflow, or is it a good idea to remove them?
