CPS P0335 Advice
I hope you are all doing well. A few months back I got the code for P0335 and replaced my CPS. All was fine up until a few days ago when I got the code again with very rough engine performance. I took it to my local mechanic shop and was told the bolt came loose and it wasn’t sealed down all the way. They said they tightened and I didn’t have any issues for a few days until now. I went to get gas, got maybe 4 gallons, and went to start my car. It struggled the first time but did turn over, but I turned off the engine and I tried again and it started instantly but I got a CEL. I scanned the code for P0335, again.
I don’t notice any misfiring, MPG reduction, or anything else aside from that very first time I tried to start it after getting gas which I believe is what threw the code anyways.
do plan to bring it back to the mechanic but wanted everyone’s opinion to possibly save some money. I’ve researched into this far deeper than anyone should, and all that I can think of is the harness for the sensor is dirty or corroded, but I haven’t verified yet. It’s just weird that it comes and goes so randomly, and then the car is fine after.
I’m grateful for any insight, thank you.
