W124 OM606 Transmission help
Hello guys, to keep it short, im looking for some viable options for my transmission.
I bought an automatic OM606.962 a while ago and finnaly started doing something about it. I had a W124 with the OM603 (non turbo) engine from before so i did a an engine swap and got stuck with what clutch and pressure plate could fit.
Im quite aware that most gearboxes/clutches will eventually end up in the trashpile because if i dont remember wrong i found a mechanical pump with 7.5mm elements and i have a hx40 waiting to be installed.
I also found a getrag 717.450 box fairly cheap which had been used in a similar project. This was years ago tho so i dont remember what parts he used.
So my question is; What clutch and pressure plate would fit well with the OM603 DM flywheel and a getrag 717.450 for my OM606? I dont assume that the gearbox will handle all the power the engine will be able to put out but its been a project thats been standing still for years and I'd like to get it rolling on a tight budget. I've read about sprinter clutches but do i just close my eyes and point in a catalogue? Im looking for something in the 3-400nm range for a starter. Ill rethink be choices when the budget is better.
