Dumb Question: VTA on Twin Turbo (do I need both?)

All:

I bought ModaWorks VTAs for the M276 SL450 (a twin turbo V6).
One of the sides, whether through improper installation or otherwise, began to leak boost.
So I removed it. Basically, stock on one side, a VTA on the other side.

I'm now wondering if this is okay -- do I really need both VTAs as they have minimal effect in general?

Thanks,
Ransom

all they do is let you hear the air pressure release noise not much else they do...
I am wondering why get them at all? just for the sound?

Your VTAs are probably screwing up your A/F ratios and driving your ECU crazy. Have you ever gotten any DTCs or CELs? I know the "boy racers" in the Subie world like them because they sound cool, but I haven't heard any in a while. Not sure they are even legal in this era of environmental protection. They are not looked upon favorably in some tuner communities.

I would say you need none, but certainly not just one on a car with twin turbos. I like to have everything in balance and while it may not hurt anything, I wouldn't chance it.
