Has anyone installed an highflow air intake system from RennTech? How is it? I'm interessted in but in Europe we don't have RennTech!

I have it on my CLK430. It does give improvement in response and a little more power, but dont expect anything amazing. It looks great and you can hear a very small difference in sound. It made my eisenmann exhaust sound even better! I dont know if mine will fit a C43 but I am trying to sell my car and if I sell it without the intake it would be up for sale.

 

Thanks for your info. If you sell you car without the intake let me know how much it would cost I really wan't one but like I said in Europe it's #1 illegal, #2 we don't have RennTech over here!

 

I saw one of these a couple weeks ago, and it just looked like a stock airbox that had been CF'd to make it look nicer with higher flow air filters installed. It definitely didn't look like it had been redesigned at all. You could probably just have it done locally and save quite a bit of money, because if I recall correctly, the Renntech one lists for over $3k and my guess is that you could have it done custom for under $1k.

 

Actually I'm working at a MB dealer. If someone can post a pic of an RennTech airbox I could rebuilt one.

 

I am selling my renntech intake. I dont think it can be just custom made. Its not an intake covered in carbon fiber, the intake is actually made OF carbon fiber. I will have pics posted tomorrow, but heres a link to the intake I used to have and sold before. If you are interested send me an offer (shipping to Europe is probably alot though).
