I'm in the market for a manual E270 CDI, and there are plenty for sale here in Bulgaria. My question is: how many newton meters can the manual gearbox handle? I knew a guy whose E270 was sitting at 230 hp and around 500 newton-meters. If I delete the EGR, DPF, decat it, and remap it, and upgrade the turbo and injectors, will my gearbox hate me for it? The cars themselves are getting old, and not all have been well taken care of here. I feel like even if the transmission holds up, the engine won't. But what are your thoughts?
