I have a 2014 sl63 with the 5.5 biturbo and was wondering if anyone knows if the air \ oil seperator pulls crankcase pressure off or is crankcase pressure passively blown off with the working pcv system on our cars?

It's an active system. The air/oil separator is part of the PCV system and uses engine vacuum to actively pull crankcase vapors into the intake to be burned. It's not just passive.

so how does the oil get back to the crankcase, isnt it positive pressure, I know the vapor is pulled into the intake but how does the liquid oil collected get back to the crankcase, thanks again alexie
