Cost effective "polyurethane" mount upgrade

Hello all, this might be well known to some or not known at all by many. Back in my Honda days I did everything I could on the cost-effective side that was possible and safe and one thing that came to mind for me was urethane filled mounts. I did this years ago to my little D-series civic with its engine mounts. Looking around to upgrade the mount on my 2012 E63 I said "what the hell why not" so I did it to me trans mount. It's a really simple and easy DIY if your looking to upgrade (or replace) your transmission mount for a stiffer one. This mod will turn the OEM rubber mount to a roughly 60a - 65a durometer "polyurethane" mount

All you need is 3M windo-weld (08609), a cheap calk gun, a few wrags, painters tape, tooth pick and isopropyl alcohol (gloves highly recommend, this stuff is messy!)

THIS STUFF TAKES ABOUT 72H TO FULLY CURE DONT INSTALL IT BACK UNTILL ITS FULLY CURED.

Once you have your mount out give it a good cleaning, get as much dirt and grime off and out of the crooks and crevasses that you can.

Next tape off one side of the mount (give it about 3 layers of tape). Then take your 3M windo-weld and stick it in the calk gun and slowly fill in the mount, take your time and try to pack it up as best as you can.

Do your best to keep air bubbles out of it. Once you have it filled up from "wall-to-wall" take a few tooth picks and poke around to ensure everything has filled and air bubbles arnt there.

Once your done set it aside to cure for 72h, reinstall once it's cured and enjoy!
