avatar refresher course???
I'm setting up a user profile for a friend of mine (as we speak), and I can't for the life of me remember how to get past the "Edit Avatar" screen, which states, "Do not use an avatar". Didn't we have to go to some other screen to enable avatars?

Are they a brand new member? Because they might not have been authorized yet, but if they can post, that means they are authorized, so they should be able to change their avatars.
Below the part where it says Do Not Use Avatars, you should have a bubble that says use custom avatars. That should do the trick and let you enter in a URL or upload a photo.

yeah, I guess I forgot about the part where he has to receive the email, follow the link etc....I was hoping to surprise him with a fully set up account, but I guess that's impossible. Heck, I'm finding it impossible to be signed in as both him and me at the same time!

If Ganoush now has a signature (even if he didn't when he made the post, above), shouldn't it now show up above? It does in a test post HERE.

1) Your post above did NOT have the "Show Signature" option checked (per post option). I edited the post and checked it so you should see it now.
2) I see two Baba Ganoush (you're making me hungry btw!) members recently. One Baba Ganoush and another Baba_Ganoush. Are these both your friends? If so, we would need to delete one if it's not being used.
