I would recommend you contact Millenium Warranty for your SL. I bought their 4yr/100K extended warranty for my 04' SL. I researched and found out they are one of handful aftermarket companies who are accepted by MB dealerships. I called all the local MB dealerships and they confirmed, if Millenium was accepted, and without a doubt they said yes.
Secondly, their warranty covers everything. More importantly for SL's , you want to make sure ABC pump, electronics, roof operation, etc. are covered b/c they are costly to repair.
