1989 300E Stalls
When I stop at a traffic light sometimes my car stalls. Sometimes while
waiting for a light to change, my car stalls. Sometimes while turning slowly through an intersection my car stalls. The Rpm sits at 5 most of the time when idling. Before a stall the Rpm jumps up to 10 or 15 and then drops below 5 .
Yesterday I noticed the car surged on its own. I was driving in the city at about 40km per hour and the car moved up to 55km per hour without me increasing the gas. I tapped the brakes and the speed returned to 40.
The stalling has been going on for a year since I replaced my gas tank and main fuel line. The car,of course, only does these things while I am driving and not when I leave it with my mechanic. ....HELP...
