2003 CLK55 with 20 Lowenhart LSD (offset problems)

So I bought this set of Lowenhart wheel off this gentleman who says there off a s500 and that they will fit on my CLK no problem. So first problem is in the font the tires are to tall so I go and have 225/30r20 tires installed on the front wheels, and go to put them on and they now clear the lower strut plate right below where the spring sits but now the rim is so wide that it is hitting the lower strut tube. I believe thats what it would be called so after much consideration ive chosen to temp install some wheelspacers that my friend had for this Audi. And it seems to be true and roll ok but in the back the tires are doing the same thing except for its the rubber hitting the inner fender wall, is the off-set of these wheels not most likely for my car that is what im seeming to think and is it ok to run the 1/4 inch wheel spacers is that going to be some problem in the near future im going to assume I should just probably try to sell the wheels to someone. May be thethey'll fit on correctly and Im just wondering if any one else runs into this problem with there clk ? Thank you fellow forum members im new to the MB cars but have two that ive bought in the last 6 months and im very happy with both cars for the majority of the time once again thank you.

like I said, unless the dimensions and offsets are perfect for the CLK you will have a hard time making 20's that fit on a S class fit on your CLK. Thats what you asked right?
