My first Mercedes; some questions
Just bought a 97 E 420. Owner replaced most everything that was "due" as well as the catalytic converter, oxygen sensors, some "hoses"?, etc.
Has run perfectly until replaced two old Michelin tires with two new matching Michelins. Now, at about 60 MPH, the car shimmies until it reaches abut 62-23 MPH. It also shimmies for about 5 seconds when you put on the brakes at about 60 MPH--then stops the shimmy as the car slows down.
First tire center said it needed new brakes and then said needed a new master cylinder.
Any thoughts? DID NOT do any of this until tires were changed.
