it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the tint itself... as a matter of fact I had the company remove the tint in the back window for other reasons such as bubbling, once the tint was removed I then tried the smart keys to make sure that the problem was not coming from the tint itself. They still did not work... The car was locked with the smart key when i got there... in order for them to pull my car in their garage to do the tint they had to unlock my car before it went in their garage... therefore it was WORKING! do you understand that???? The problem comes from the person who installed the tint and during the removal and re-tinting process. something obviouslly came loose, and more then likely pressed against. i know this because days later the smart key worked for a period of 5 mins when i put my visor up in the back window..... then stopped working completely as of now. there are also NO malfunctions coming up. which means, the car did not generate this problem it self. as far as pointing fingers, if you, yourself took your vehicle to get the window tinting removed and replaced and your smart keys were working up till that exact time, and the area that controls the smart key comes from that exact area where it was worked on you would really think otherwise?? probably NOT! the keys stopped working directly after my car was worked on... my point being is this.... when u take your vehicle to some place to get a little window tinting done thats what it should be, not touching other things in the head liner that can cause problems for the owner of the vehicle. not to mention, a bunch of kids they hire to work on your vehicle who are not experienced and do not understand what to touch and what not to touch. so is this fair for me to have to go through all of this now???? ABSOLUTELY NOT!
