2007 CLK 350 troubles unlocking doors/trunk
Anyone's advise is appreciated...as I am stuck on what to do....
Trying to save a dollar w/o having to go to the dealer again...
Here's the issue... I suddenly couldnt unlock/lock my doors, nor open my trunk... I changed the batteries to new CR2025's and it wouldnt budge. I discovered that I can unlock/lock my doors every so often but I have to be literally right next to my drivers side door handle. Trunk still wont unlock.
Although, the trunk is able to be unlocked from the release button on the drivers side and when I do look into the trunk, the (flashing green button) works, I press to hear it unlock and lock. I doubt its a broken gaskett/ or plastic cover by the trunk....
I've been reading many threads about this topic, and I do not know in what direction to go. I did end up buying a totally new key since I did not have a second spare anyways. But, I do not want to end up dropping more money than I should.
I ran a diagnostic test at an independent shop, and wasnt able to come to a conclusion.
Could it be some blown fuses? I've read that some people mentioned Fuses 8, 9, 21, 22, 32 and 33. I have no idea where the hell these fuses are located. Is there a break down as to which fuse is used for what function in the car?
Or, maybe could it be the radio frequency itself? Infrared? I dont believe its the antenna itself in the back window. My defroster works fine, and I even have tints on the car, but this was put on 7+ months ago.. that should't be the case...as the problem just arose.
I apologize for the lengthy message, but I am in a crisis!!!! Please help!!!
Thank you in advance!!!
