400 SEL various problems

400 SEL various problems
I've owned my '93 400SEL since new. Now, with 178K I've had a few problems accumulate.
Duo valve a/c problem which I will take a crack at myself. What are mychances of success if I disassemble and clean/rebuild?
The wipers slam down at the bottom of each wipe.
My MB mechanic says I need an engine harness
Air vent wheel lights don't light.
Is there any low cost solution to car wash streaks on the wheels?
The radio doesn't "see" the trunk CD changer any longer.
The clock doesn't keep time.
The car still rides smooth like a dream with no rattles, and looks great, still getting compliments to my surprise for a 19 year old car. My kids say they grew up in this car and don't want me to get rid of it. They prefer riding in it to my wife's late 350 wagon.
I'm just hesitant to put money in, if it's going to become a money pit.
I still have affection for this old family member.
