How to post new thread

I posted a new thread last night, but now I can't for the life of me. Only reason I posted this is because it gave me an option too.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi,

You currently have 5 posts, if you click on your user name in the upper right of the page a drop down menu will show several options. Try 'My Posts', I hope that helps.

Hey Bob,

Thanks for the info...I was searching and searching and....you get the idea.

By the way it seems like you know your way around this site....Can you ask the site-developers to make it more difficult for us users to post a New Thread, after all I think it's not quite difficult enough?!

Thanks again,

Honestly, I do not since you did start a new thread on Aug 4th.

In any case I'm glad I was able to help. Thank you.

Your account shows normal permissions and access. Can you let us know where you was trying to post a New Thread? Which section?

Without further details, it's difficult to assist with the permission error you posted in your screen capture.

MBWorld runs on the vBulletin software. It's one of the largest (commercial) forum-based software that powers thousands of other forums similar to MBWorld. Its core dates back nearly 20 years so it has been around. Posting on, and navigating, Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, etc., all are different and requires some browsing around (sometimes reading FAQs and other Help guides) to become familiar with the setup. This is true for just about any application.

All new members, or members with low activity, may have their posts scanned by the automated anti-spam service. This measure is to help protect the community from spam and scam. Sometimes a false-positive occurs and when that occurs it requires the Staff manually review the content to remove or publish it.

I have manually published your thread:

Your thread is linked below:
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...pping-off.html

We use some tools to help prevent Spammers and Scammers. Sometimes the tools will improperly flag a member or post as spam, in which case we have to manually review. Once an account has become established and participated more in the community, this becomes less of an occurrence.

Thanks for approving it. Seems I can't even edit the post without moderator approval, I'll gladly get more involved when I have a car I can be enthused about again!

Did you try posting in a different sub-forum than the original one you posted in? What about try posting in this sub forum and see if it works, if not maybe try replying to a few posts I don't know if there is a post restriction. Hopefully staff chines in.

Looks like it was figured out:
https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...miles-new.html

MBWorld is categorized by classes. As there are a lot of MB vehicles, there's a lot of sections. To post, you must be in one of the sections before you will see the New Thread button (as shown below) to post a new topic in that section:

Hmmm quick question, this always confuses me, how come sometimes I refresh a thread there is now this prefix in the link: ?ispreloading=1

What does it mean? I tried searching it up and didn't find an answer. Thanks.

What is the estimated cost for a B service and a transmission flush with mileage at 64,000 miles? My local MB dealer quoted $1600. Also, at this mileage is it necessary to replace plugs?
