This is not quite the case. Not all staff can change accounts, due to the limitations in the software, but they can perform other functions.

Except that was what was told last time someone asked for a username change, I don't remember who was the staff that wrote that post.

I previously said one can use the Report Post to send an alert to Moderators for editing, post moving, etc., concerns:
