I tried some pics on the test forum and everything worked fine, so I deleted the post. I couldn't post the same pics in a forum because I got the duplicate post message, I guess because they weren't really deleted but are gone forever.

Usually in the test forum theres no need to delete your post. I'm afrad they are gone for ever. What you can try is going to your User CP and find out what pictures you uploaded.

I thought they were gone from the forum forever and even tried changing the file name. That didn't work either since I was still getting the same error message of being already posted in the test forum even though I had deleted the post.

Later I cropped the pics that changed the properties and that got around the problem.

I guess its best to use throw-away pics to use the test forum to avoid the duplicate pic error message.

A moderator can permanently delete the thread. In this new forum version when you delete a thread, it is still viewable to moderators and admins.
