R Class in Alpine Rain?

This shot is from the new posting on the MBUSA
R Class site. It is the Vision R (not the production R) but it appears to be in Alpine Rain. If it is not Alpine Rain, then I think it is close. Looks great to me!

Where can I get those rims? they look so much better than whats available for the R class, including the 19 inch wheels they use on the new ML.

Yeah...have to agree. These were the wheels on the Vision concept car, probably 20 or 21 inch. The biggest on the production would be the 19" AMG option.

damn, thats a shame. It makes the car look totally different. I'm looking at several different options and the R-class is one of them. I want something practical, yet fierce. Those rims really fill in the fierce part.

The full approved option list is not yet available (or pricing) and maybe there may be a bigger than 19" wheel option (but I doubt it.) If the 19" AMG does not cost and arm and a leg and is available as a stand-alone option then I may consider that. But at this point I am pretty set on the 18".

I don't really like Mercs AMG wheel option on the ML or what will be on the R (which I am assuming is the same thing) I wish they would trade it up a bit. Stand alone AMG wheels are so boring. Maybe I can find a way to get my hands on those wheels above.

I have a hunch those wheels were made just for the Vision R concept show cars in the 20" or 21" size. Perhaps some aftermarket wheels will be available once the R has hit the streets.
