Short wheel base R350

So was it a wise decision on MB's part to make the USDM R class long wheel base rather than the short wheel base available in europe? They should of made the R350 the short one and the R500 the long one. IMO

They just tend, at least lately, to not bring the SWB's into the US market. Logical guess is that they don't figure that they will sell well enough/that ther is not enough demand here for the SWB's.

There's a thread in either the new ML or the new GL forums where the differences between the sizing of the ML, GL, and R were discussed within the last 2 weeks I think

You should be able to get the specs at MB's international site:

http://www.mercedes-benz.com/content...te/en/com.html

My guess is that the short R would be simialr in layout to the GL, still larger than the ML, with fairly equivalent front and second row seating, and with the addition of third row seating probably smaller than a LWB R and roughly equivalent to that of the new GL...?
