Anybody have a cross reference for the brake pads on the R350 to another MB model?
It looks like a four pad caliper, but until I have time to pull the rim I can't provide any details.
I would like to get the stock pads off and some Porterfield R4S pads on, but listings for the R don't show up yet.
I don't like spending as long cleaning the rims as I do the rest of the car.
Not only do you have the standard front rim dust, but the rears get just as dusty as the fronts (due to the computer applying higher brake pressure to the rears during straight-line braking).
Now you have four nasty rims to clean instead of two.
Maybe one of these days, MB's will come stock with a low dust pad that meets or exceeds the performance of the current stock pads. IMHO, Porterfield R4S pads on my C230 Coupe clearly show that it can be done.
And maybe Dr. Dieter is reading this.
Thanks in advance for any helpful feedback.
