2008 R 500
Hi all !
It seems that this thread is the biggest resource on R class on internet for english speaking ppl. very glad that i found it!
here is my R 500. swapped it for my X5, the car is nice but i definately want to change suspension setup. Was looking at ELMs from Brabus, Kleeman, Carlsson but dealers here dont have info on these units that would seem trustworthy.
id like to have a bit sportier ride with some lowering. as for lowering it is clear that these units provide it and some of them or all of them are adjustable, the most important question for me is how they change the ride characteristics of a car. in standard the car is a bit too soft for me, in sport its too bumpy. id like to have something in between, ideally close to my X5 that i had. Would I get it with these modules? and would there be much differenc in stiffness between those?
now this car is sitting on 20 inchers OZs, as winter tyres dont exist for stock 21s.
regards,
Andrey

If you have airmatic, this will lower your car. Btw, I replaced my X5 with R500 just like you and I feel they are very different type of cars. X5 sits higher but much shorter. R500 actually sits lower but it is LONGGGG. Not sure how you can make the ride similiar.

i mean i cant do the same as i did with X5 despite the R having 388 hp and being lower. im just afraid )))) im wondering if i ll have a bit stiffer ride and beteer cornering ability. the gearbox is also a bit too reluctant to switch

Here is our 2007 R350 Capri Blue. Thought I would take a pic since I just installed our Thule Roof Box - Atlantis 2100. Super easy to install, thanks for the input from Termite

That's the standard AMG bumper with R63 diffuser which replaced the standard diffuser. He also added the small fender flare moldings to the rear.
