R Class Unofficial Pic Thread!!

Any rubbing issue at the front with the 255 55 20? I am thinking the same size for my winter setup on stock amg.
Got my 2010 r350 Bluetec about a month ago. Had winter tires and rims on it. Finally got the right tires and rims. AMG replica rims 20x9.5 with 255/55r20 Pirelli tires. Now the odometer actually shows the right speed and isn't off by 5%. I roadforce balanced them myself since I'm **** and the machine runs like a dream now. I bought this r-class so I would use my 2015 Escalade ESV less, and I tell you what. This Mercedes rides a ton smoother and more comfortable than the caddy. It has about 75k miles on it, but has a ton of life left in it. Nothing nicer than to buy a used vehicle that has been pampered by the previous owner.

I had to heat up and stretch the inner fender liners at the front. It was a little tight. I would recommend 18" rims with winters. They will be a lot cheaper. When I bought this MB there were a set of 255/55R18 Toyo Observe Gsi on there. They were the same diameter as the OE 19" tires. This would make your spedometer off by 5%.

Is I don't do any thing with the inner fender how bad does it rub? How hard is it o stretch the fender liners? I am looking at the 255 55 20 cause I like how it fill up the wheels gap. Also there r a set locally for sales that I can get a great deal. Thx for your help.

The liners are easy to stretch. I used a set of torches to get it nice and hot, (you can also use a heat gun) then used the side of a 1 gallon jug to push it away from where the tire would hit and hit it with some cold water to cool it down quick. Re-installed tire and see if it needed more adjustments. I now have at least 1/2" clearance all around. If the tires are a good deal, go for it.

My newly purchased 2007 R320
My new R320
I just ordered me some new wheels. These puny 17's look silly on such a big vehicle. These are 22x9. I am installing
265/35R22 all season SUV tires. I have decided to make this an AMG R63 tribute car. I received the new badges yesterday from eBay.

I have just realized that I do not have any real side profile or front photos of my R350. I'll have to snap some in the morning.

Trancebear, did you ever put those 22s on the 320? I have an 07' r350 and I'm thinking of putting 22s on it but I'm wondering about the ride and fit from someone that has done it. Let us know and post some pics if you can.
Thanks in advance.

my R500 got new shoes... went from stock 18's to Mandrus Wilhelm 20's with 265/45... bigger foot print... stock height but may look to get some links and drop it an inch or two down the track but right now riding well.

New, old 2008 R550 AMG
Awesome carrier.
Got to love the amenities. Lots of buttons to figure out.
Just picked it up on the weekend. So far liking most everything about it. Always looking out how to keep it running well, updated and options. The 5.5L engine is a hoot. Just keeps pulling without any strain. Hard to keep within the speed limits

New black accents on our Wine Red R500
We suffered a massive tire rupture and rim damage of some piece of steel left on the road by someone. Had to replace the rims and choose to return to factory specs: 255/55 18. We used to have 255/45 20's but on our Canadian Rockies pothole invested roads that was never a good idea. My sons preferred black, and my 19 year old BMW lover son loved to do so plastidip work to add black accents. Here's the result. Taste is subjective, but we're very pleased with it.

They're excellent cars no matter the color...
Hi Tarach,
Thanks for your note. They're awesome cars no matter what color. It's probably the MB I've enjoyed the most over the years (three E's, a B, a C, and now this R).
Enjoy yours!
Merry Christmas,
Dutch
