It's about time...that was kinda queer...also think the R needs side roof rails which IMO would help the look.

I was waiting on someone to notice/mention this. I guess Sports Tourer wasn't working, hell nothing is working on getting the R's sales numbers up. One hit after another, S, E, CL, GL and then a dud, the R. Mercedes, unlike any other!

I guess the consolation is that all they have to do is shift production to MLs and GLs until when/if the R catches on...kind of smart on their part to build all three of off the same platform...

Yeah I don't thinkt they're really sweating that the R is not selling up to expectations. The GL is and the ML is doing ok and is quite popular in Europe so they export a lot of them. I think the diesel ML and GL are going to become quite popular though.
