Is there a way to increase the warning tone alerts on the Parktronics system? The displays above the rear window are not very illuminated and with a non audible alert the Parktronic is not going to stop my wife from hitting walls.

On my 07 R320, the Parktronic works very well both VISUALLY and AUDIBLY (front and rear). The visual markers are brightly lighted, the rear markers are easily seen on the rearview mirror. The audible alerts are loudly sound even with radio on. I dont think you can tinker with the Parktronic settings (visually and audibly) yourself. thank you - i would never try tinkering with the car - I did with my 1st car , a '72 Triumph Spitfire. I stopped after that .

I had same problem with my E550. It dosen't sound (beep) until my rear bumper very close to the wall (8 inch)???
