Looks great, but I might add that any dealer that glues a badge to the back of a Benz needs to be taken out behind the show room and beaten down with a stick!

Great R class!

It's glued. A hair dryer will work wonders on it, and GooGone will deal with whatever is left.

Heat it up with a hair dryer and then use dental floss to go behind it at the top and slowly pull down. That method seems to work great. If there is any glue left over try the goo gone stuff, or if you can't find it, try peanut butter. Yup it leaves a hell of a mess but it actually takes glue off, I used it on an older car I had removed the pin striping on. (be sure its not crunchy ha ha ha)

I'm thinking about removing mine also. I'll be installing the chrome headlight rings and the chrome door handle shells next week, maybe I'll remove the class badges then.

I also have a Shark-fin antenna cover that I'm going to play with to see hhow it looks. It's from another vehicle that I had that was black, so it may not be a noticeable difference in the color (Obsidian Black).

Peanut butter is abrasive, that's why it works. Don't use that. Use a solvent.

I already have the rings on my E, no way that makes it look like a Toyota, much less on a vehicle that is almost trwice that size. The headligh rings are a very nice touch to fill up the gap between the headlight and the hood. The door handle shells are almost unnoticeable.

To each his own I guess, but I have to wonder why you buy a vehicle with such gross fog light surrounds, and think a little strip of chrome is offensive.

That's another thing I want to do, get rid of the fog light surrounds. Maybe paint the ugly things. Or maybe get the chrome replacements

you got it... to each his own. i personally dont like chrome. neither on rims, nor anywhere else on the car (of course except for the grille and all the other factory chrome-things). anyways: still a nice E!

i'll get me the fog lights anyways, then i'll see wether i paint the surroundings or not.

these are two fakes how i'd like to have it, but they dont have the rota auto X rims in 21' or 22':

and that would be with brabus rims and the clean front end:

what do you guys think? any suggestion who could do that kind of work in the NY/NJ/CT/PA area?

thanks,
Mario
