Is this a good Lease Price

Went to my local MB dealer yesterday to lease a R320 CDI, sticker price was 54,900 and dealer discounted the car to 51,000. Also the dealer was taking in the E500 4matic early (early lease termination, lease ending in July) and getting us into the R320. After a bunch of haggling the dealer finally agreed to a 33 month lease 12k per year with $700.00 down out the door at $667.00 per month. I think that they can do better, I was hoping to be at $500 per month or even $550. What do you guys think. Thanks.

Boston lease offer

hi

I was quickly quoted a similar lease in Boston area - no negotiation at all:

R350AWD MSRP $54670 -- leather,P1.Ipod,paint.heated seats.

Dealer went to a cap of 51000, no down, just first month plus bank other fees

653/month

Even that is not so great, if you do the math.

money factor for February is .00055 from MB financial which is very low (equivalent of 1.32%)

With the car at 3000 below invoice or about 48,000 for a cap cost -- and using that money factor -- you will come out at about 500 a month, with no down. Remember they are dying with these cars, and have admitted it.. You can push the dealer down, who knows how far?

Also check MBUSA and see the 519/month lease special.

Good luck

Where are you located?

One thing to consider is your trade/lease turn in. Since it is outside the 3 month window to pull forward, there may be some negative equity they have to compensate for. As for the discount, that's a pretty big discount on a R320. Good luck with your purchase.

Thanks for all the repsonse. I did not know that the money factor for Feb. was .00055 I thought it was .00085, this makes a big difference then in the payment. The dealer said that they were going to eat the remaining 2 month (yeah right, they probably tried to put it in somewhere else). They called me back the other day also and said that they can go down on the Money factor to .00080 and drop the car to 50,900. But that would only save me about $12 per month. But it is good to know that cap cost on the car is about 48,000 this will give me more to negotiate on. I live in Denver, Co.

Bought it

Dealer called today and offered me $605 per month for 33 months at 12k per year w/first month payment down. They paid all my remaining payments in the E500. Final capcost for the car was 47,900. I will be posting pictures here soon after I put some wheels on it and get the thing lowered. thanks for all your help.
