Oil Pump
Our 2006 R has what sounds like a transmission whine coming out of the dash at low speeds and in the morning. The dealer says it is a cold oil pump. I think they are full of it.
ideas?

Take it in, get a quote as to what they believe the problem is. Honestly if they don't have it in front of them, its hard to tell what it is exactly. They have computers they can plug in to look for faults ect and give them a heads up. After receiving your quote if your not satisfied, take it to another dealer and compare the two quotes.

I think they may be full of it as well. However, you are not the first to complain of that same symptom, and get the same answer. Someone else here (or the other board) a while back had the same sort of problem, and was told the same thing. I'm not sure of the resolution, but it was something close to the description of the dealer.
