Bunch of stuff fixed on my 2006 R500

I just got my 2006 R500 back from the dealer today. They had it for the last week working on a laundry list of things I gave them. Thought I would share what I had them look at (1) Throttle hesitation when you press down on the gas pedal -- software upgrade done -- seems to have worked (2) Transmission rough shift from 2nd to 1st gear -- software upgrade done -- seems worse now?? I will give it time to relearn before passing final thoughts on this one (3) Cold start, metal resonance sound from engine -- could not duplicate after 4 cold starts, did not do anything -- will have to wait to see if this sound comes back (4) Engine has loud lifter/ticking sound -- normal for vehicle, nothing done -- OK, guess it is normal (5) Engine is using 1.5 qts of oil over last 5000 miles -- normal consumption, but if still complaining will do oil consumption test next time I bring it in (6) Oil leak from valve covers -- Left & right vapor chambers leaking oil, resealed vapor chambers -- OK, whatever a vapor chamber is, guess he found that oil was leaking from them and fixed it (7) Cabin filter has oily dirt on it -- normal dirt, owner stated he will replace them -- Yes I will! (8) Chrome strip on outside of passenger rear door is riding up at one end -- replaced chrome strip (9) Rear window washer sprays a stream, not in a fan pattern, normal? -- Stream is as designed -- OK, just wanted to know (10) 2nd row passenger window thumps when at close point -- Found broken window stop, replaced window stop (11) When I bought car used they had lost one of the 2 keys, they replaced it with another one, but unfortunately for me they coded it as a 3rd, key and it will not remember my seat location -- can't recode key, must buy new one and code it as key #1, $240.00 -- Guess I will live with it, not paying $240.00 for a new key (12) Sunroof squeaks -- Cleaned & lubed sunroof, $20.60 -- Thanks, not bad price (13) Rattles in several places -- found rattle in left D-Pillar, bolt installed incorrectly, not factory issue, previous repair, $51.50 not covered over warranty -- OK with charge, as long as rattle is fixed: Could not locate source of any other rattles, still heard a couple driving it home, will have to take it back and do ride with mechanic myself I guess (14) Wind whistle, loud, when windows rolled down -- Rear window seals are making whistiling noise, rear window channel seals when covered no whistle, R&I left rear door module. Replaced window channel seal. R&I right rear door module. Replaced window channel seal. Noise is now gone -- Thanks, this was driving my wife & kids nuts (15) High frequency squeal from A/C fan -- could not duplicate sound, nothing done -- OK, will see if it happens again (16) Two oil leaks near pulleys on front of engine -- Nothing was typed in for this one, did they fix it??? -- Will have to ask them if they addressed this one, doesn't look like it from my receipt (17) Balance my tires -- done, $85.10 -- Wow, $85.10 to balance tires -- seems a little high to me, but hey it is MB ** That's it, nothing really major, just a bunch of little things, thought I would have them all addressed at once. Still love the thing.

Glad you still love it.

1.5 quarts of oil in 5000 miles. Normal ? .
Some of lost oil probably went to valve cover, left & right vapor chamber leaking etc...

Sounds cool... This list reminds me my 07 R320 CDI. Except that replacing the windows stops won;t help your clanking problem. You need to tell them to replace the regulators...

So replacing the seals for the rear Windows stopped the chirping sound? I have that problem too, and its driving us all crazy! What did it cost to replace those?
