Need quick help - looking to puchase 06 R500, 49K miles to many?
Hi - Looking to purchase a R500 and there is one at the local dealor that is getting lots of looks and I think it is a pretty good deal. Is 49K miles to many to buy used? It is not a MB dealer so I would have to run it up to the local MB dealer right away if I found anything wrong with it. Thanks in advance for the quick response!!

No. And you can always purchase an extended warranty. If it's a good deal, then jump on it.

any tips on things to look for that may go wrong right away other than the normal ones like tires, belts, etc.?

Try out all the electronics.
You need to factor in the cost of extended warranty because 1000 miles is not enough for you to discover all the problems.
Ask around to get a quote on exclusive extended warranty. You can buy it from any dealer before the odo kicks 50k. Try FidelityWarrantyServices.com which I got for my other car. Haven't used it but heard good things about them.
