Center air vent removal
Anyone got the WIS on removal of the center air vent nozzle (the assembly above the command com) in an R calss.
I need to put in a new one to replace the busted up one I created by stopping for the idoit who pulled out in fornt of me while hauling home long garden edging from Lowes laid across the center console. No the wife was NOT happy! At least the metal missile missed the command com!
BTW, lesson learned is that while the R class is a very flexible hauler it pays to take that extra minute to strap stuff down as there is a lot of nice expensive stuff to break if you have to stop quickly!!!

Vent all done!
All done. Just a matter of bending down (or up on the bottom) the eight tabes (two top and two bottom per vent in the housing) and pulling. Of course it helps when you aren't concenred at all about the piece being removed. I took some pliers and "removed" all the louvers first which makes getting to the tabs a breeze!
BTW, the replacement part had two wire connectors (one per vent) but the unit removed had no wiring. Anyone know what these might be for on another car or another option?

Vents with electrical connectors
The elctrical connectors are for the interior lighting package that "lights up" the vent wheel adjusters. Thanks for the info!
