Constant 12V power to outlets?

We are new owners of an R350 (06) and while we love the car, there are many little "glitches" we are learning to deal with.

Is there a way to keep the 12v power outlets on while the car is not??

It's a pain in the butt not being able to charge your phone or the kids DVD players while left in the car overnight.

Thanks in advance...

Outlet in ashtray will stay on.

Others, not.

Read owners manual.

Wrong, outlet in ashtray will shut off when key is removed from ignition.
Others outlet still be still on and turn off via the relay timer.
I believe it will turn off if more current is drained from the source

We would LOVE to read the manual but the dealer couldn't find it so he ordered us a replacement. Should be here in a week or so..

So far, for us I've notice both the center console ash tray port turns off as does the 12v port below the AC controls on the rear of the center console facing the second row.

Is there a trick to keeping those on or are we just stuck?

Why do you want to take such risk of draining the battery? Is it that hard to charge devices inside the house?

If you register your car online with MBUSA.com, you can download an owner's manual for free.
