2008 R350 & 2008 C300
Surprised we haven't seen more of these pop up. Seems like in the Euro countries they are always using E class's as Taxi's, would make sense to move to R class's. Of course not here in the States, a $50k Taxi could never be a profitable experience for cab company's, although N.Y. has a lot of Toyota and Honda mini vans that aren't cheap by any stretch of the imagination.

Everything is diesel over there - and 90 percent of the cabs were Mercedes - tons of C classes - and get this: a ton of new E class sedans. I think it was an R 280. Believe it or not I saw an R 350 later on in Spain (long wheelbase) - with the passenger rear door caved in since large cars over there cannot negotiate the tight corners of the packed towns along the Mediterranean, let along park when there is room. Every car has scratched front and rear bumpers from wedging into a parallel spot with an inch to spare front and rear.
